Consultation is an ongoing part of our building process. It begins with the first phone call or e-mail from you. We’ll ask very specific questions that help us determine the best way to proceed with your project. From there, the process can take a few days or a few years . . . and that’s okay with us. We understand that building the relationship and trust with our clients from the very start are as important as constructing the building itself.
Design & Estimating
Experience you can trust, people who make the process fun, and ideas that fit your lifestyle. Our qualified design staff offers the latest concepts in residential and commercial design, construction, and eco-friendly building practices. Attention to details, an unwavering commitment to excellence, and personalized service will be apparent from the very beginning.
Our 3-D virtual “walk-through” presentation of your project offers a unique glimpse of the finished space well before construction begins. This helps finalize any design changes in advance and keeps projects on time and on budget.
Site Planning
Our in-depth knowledge of the lakes area results in helping you acquire the best possible property to fit your needs. If you need a variance for your project, we have experience working with county, city, and township planning and zoning boards to help you achieve your goals. We often represent property owners when applying for permits or variances. It’s all part of our complete suite of services.
Build
We work closely with clients to get to this point to ensure everything is in place for a successful outcome. The excitement is palpable as we get closer to breaking ground or taking down some walls. Weekly field reports and schedule updates are provided and communication with our team throughout is welcome and encouraged. Our goal is to exceed your expectations on quality materials and craftsmanship, budget, and project timing as well as having a stress-free and enjoyable experience along the way.
Certifications
Our Past, Present & Future
Green building, the focus on design and construction to increase efficient resource use, has been a hot topic recently. It's also something Bercher Design & Construction has pursued since opening our doors - simply because we thought it was good practice.
Many of our clients ask how their project can be environmentally responsible, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing all at the same time. Our knowledgeable staff can answer these questions, provide information based on the standards set forth in many national and state regulation and certification programs, and incorporate products and materials into a design from the start. We work with programs such as the National Association of Home Builders' National Green Building Program (NAHB Green), Energy Star, and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED). These programs are third party verified and may even qualify for federal tax incentive plans.
We also carry the designation of Certified Aging-in-Place Specialists (CAPS). As people want and desire to stay in their homes as long as possible, there are design ideas and products we are versed in consulting with clients about to obtain this important goal.
