Professional Credentials Rod brings a diverse background in Architectural Design, Mechanical Engineering and home renovation contracting to the Bercher team. During his 25 years in the construction and engineering industries, Rod has designed numerous commerical, residential, remodeling projects. His mechanical engineering knowledge is a great asset when it comes to integrating and applying innovative concepts and products into your project.
Client Services “I know that attention to detail and commitment to client specifications are key elements for successful construction projects,” states Rod. He will listen carefully as you describe the custom characteristics you want in your home that make it unique. From there he goes to the drawing board to create exactly what you have in mind. Rod also has experience in estimating which makes the financial part of a project run smoothly. He researches products and specifications and meets with trade contractors and suppliers to provide the most thorough proposals.
Education Rod holds a degree in Architectural Drafting and Estimating from Dunwoody Technical Institute in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He has also completed many classes in computer-aided drafting (CAD), home inspection, mold-growth inspection, electrical wiring, and plumbing systems. "Rod also has experience in estimating…"
Personal Rod and his wife, Janet, are in the final stages of constructing their dream home in Nisswa, Minnesota. Rod is the handyman in the family and is always willing to provide good advice to their four adult children about their own homes. Although very busy, Rod still sneaks in some time during the summer to go boating and reel in a few largemouth bass and walleyes.
