Green building, the focus on design and construction to increase efficient resource use, has been a hot topic recently. It's also something Bercher Design & Construction has pursued since opening our doors - simply because we thought it was good practice.
Many of our clients ask how their project can be environmentally responsible, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing all at the same time. Our knowledgeable staff can answer these questions, provide information based on the standards set forth in many national and state regulation and certification programs, and incorporate products and materials into a design from the start. We work with programs such as the National Association of Home Builders' National Green Building Program (NAHB Green), Energy Star, and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED). These programs are third party verified and may even qualify for federal tax incentive plans.
We also carry the designation of Certified Aging-in-Place Specialists (CAPS). As people want and desire to stay in their homes as long as possible, there are design ideas and products we are versed in consulting with clients about to obtain this important goal.
At Bercher, we'll help you understand the unique differences of these programs. We stay on top of the latest technologies, trends, and research on the subject. Plus, we'll be candid about current and future benefits and costs.
Our goal is to strive to be as energy and resource efficient as possible, while helping clients make informed, appropriate decisions that are right for them.
