What is Arxx?
Arxx (formerly called Blue Maxx) is an insulated concrete form used for poured concrete walls above and below grade. It's made of structural expanded polystyrene that remains in place after the concrete is poured providing durability, energy efficiency and the flexibility to turn a typically unfinished basement into a finished one.

Durability
One of Arxx's most important benefits is its durability. A home is one of the biggest investments people make. It makes sense to protect that investment with the durability of Arxx. Unlike wood, a home built out of concrete won't twist, rot, or shrink and dramatically reduces the chance of settlement. Arxx has a three-hour fire rating on the 6-inch form. The walls are so sturdy they provide enough sound suppression to make a person's shouts barely audible - a Sound Transmission Classification of 50. Arxx is also environmentally friendly. It provides an average of 40 to 60 percent savings in energy. Using concrete also preserves wood, a precious dwindling resource.
